TAMPA, Fla. — Following a surge of Republican votes on Election Day, Senator Ashley Moody declared victory in Florida’s special election for the United States Senate, securing the remainder of the term previously held by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. For the third straight election, Senator Moody received more votes than anyone on the Florida ballot, following her Attorney General victories in 2018 and 2022.
In a challenging national environment for republicans, Senator Moody’s message of backing law enforcement, rejecting socialism, making life more affordable for hardworking families, and putting Florida first resonated with voters in the Sunshine State.
