ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Senator Ashley Moody joined leaders throughout Osceola County’s Puerto Rican community to celebrate the results she has secured for Florida families in Washington from No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Social Security, the $2,200 increased Child Tax Credit, investment accounts for our youngest Americans, and so much more.
Senator Ashley Moody said,“Osceola County is home to one of the largest and most vibrant Puerto Rican communities in the nation – a community that embodies the very definition of hard work, resilience, and dedication to family that makes Florida strong. I am proud to have delivered meaningful results for Florida’s Hispanic families from No Tax on Tips for our hardworking service industry to No Tax on Social Security for our seniors who spent a lifetime earning their benefits, and to the $2,200 increased Child Tax Credit to put more money back in the pockets of Florida families raising our next generation. I did not come to Washington to talk about things, I came to deliver for Florida families and I am just getting started.”
Senator Moody has been a strong advocate for Florida’s Hispanic community. As Florida’s Attorney General, she fought to end human trafficking of Cuban healthcare workers and worked to get victims of the Maduro regime legal relief. Now, as United States Senator she co-sponsored legislation to sanction the Communist Cuban regime, stood with the Venezuelan community following the arrest of the illegitimate dictator Nicolás Maduro, and stood alongside leaders in Miami to announce the historic indictment of former Cuban President Raúl Castro – sending a clear message that America will never normalize relations with Communist dictators and that accountability will always follow those who harm American citizens.
